Kate Andersen

I'm a researcher at the University of York. I live in York with my husband, two children (aged 8 and 11) and two cats. Over the last year, my eldest has said - many times - that she wished there was no such thing as Covid. We really missed spending time with family and friends during the lockdowns but did enjoy getting outside more and eating the (somewhat mixed) results of our attempts at baking.

For the project, I'll be organising and doing a lot of the interviews and putting together what everyone has said. I hope that through the project, we can put forward recommendations for any needed improvements to the social security system based on families' experiences and views of the two-child limit and benefit cap.
