Kitty Stewart

I’m a teacher and researcher at the London School of Economics. I live in Hackney in East London with my husband, who is Portuguese, and the youngest of our three children, who is now 14. His older brother and sister are both away at university and I think he’s quite enjoying the attention. One bonus of the lockdowns for me was having them all back at home for a while (though I’m not sure they’d agree!).

On the project I work mostly on the numbers side, but will also be doing some of the interviews. Because we will be both talking directly to families and looking at big datasets I’m hopeful we will be able to put together a really comprehensive picture of the way the two-child limit and the benefit cap have affected people’s lives.
